Guest Post- Britt

Well the wonderful Laura has asked me to guest post and I'm so excited and honored. : ) Thanks so much for asking me!! So, I'm Britt from Encouragement For Everyday Struggles and I'm so excited to share a post with you all today. 

I don't know about you all but I sure do get scared speaking in large groups. I am a pretty quiet person and I often get nervous talking for just a few minutes with others I don't feel comfortable with. I usually am just pleased to sit and listen to others. Well a verse that I read in my devotions tonight really inspired me and uplifted me.
It was Jeremiah 1:7-8 

But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

This verse tells us not to be afraid of others - they are just people too- and God will give us the strength. Where it mentions in verse 7 about "I am too young" I probably would fill in "I am a quiet girl" in place of that for my excuse. 

The past few days I've been worried for the future and all that it holds for me. I'm afraid to go away to college next year to a place I don't know what to expect. I am afraid to socialize with people I don't know. I'm afraid to take classes with speeches in front of groups. The past few days I've just been so nervous and didn't know how to calm myself. Each night before I went to bed I would be praying for God to help me through and calm my heart. And today I felt so much better. And tonight before I went to bed, God showed me this verse. It was such an encouragement to me and helped me. 

Well, I will end my post here. I just wanted to share a verse that truly impacted me tonight. I hope that you all could maybe be blessed in this some way. And I wanted to say a big thanks to Laura for letting me guest post here. Laura is such an encouragement and her posts always uplift me when I drop by!
